Offense Drill 1: Lessard Stretch Breakout

Purpose

4 on 0 breakout with stretch forward.

Description

Coach dumps puck on net and 4 players enter zone as in diagram and breakout and attack.

Repeat with new group from other end.

Key Teaching Points

Stagger when going into breakout position.

Stretch player stays at far end.

Variations

• Add 1 forechecker
• Add forechecker and 4 players return and attack other end against 2 defense (4 on 2), breakout 4 on 0, and return 4 on 2.
