Defense Drill 6: 1-2-1 Forecheck
To teach players a forecheck system -- players must pick-up their man.
Starts with a dump in by coach.
4 players go into breakout and return while other unit of 4 wait at far goal line.
Puck carrier dumps puck into D.
D takes puck behind net and rushing forwards react to breakout, each covering his/her own man.
Stop on whistle.
On whistle, group with puck start at far end.
Stay with your player.
Must communicate.
