Goalie Drill 4: Shoot-out

Purpose

To have goalie react to passes behind net.

Description

Players line up in semi-circle and randomly receive passes from coaches behind the net.

Coaches alternate passes but can pass to anyone in a semi-circle.

Goalie must adjust quickly.

Key Teaching Points

Quick snap shots.

Goalie must recover and position her/himself for next shot quickly.

• Players change shooting positions.
