Inline skates are for agressive skating and other persuits, not for a crap sport which involves no skill which you call Roller Hockey. I play the original Olympic Roller Hockey, which involves skill. Try it!

Hello I just picked up the sport of inline Roller skating and Hockey last week. I'm currently attending school down here in Florida, but have my permanent address in Brampton Ontario. I pick up the sport because our school has a roller hockey club. Ironically I never played Ice Hockey seriously when I was in Canada, But when I return I plan on getting in touch with your organization so that I may continue playing. I must add that I'm a rookie in to this sport and would love to get tips on everything from skateing to stick handling.

I am an aggressive skater at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb Il. A few days ago, a friend of mine was approached by campus police while putting on his skates in front of one of the school academic buildins. The officer noticed that my friend had grind plates on his skates and told him that if he didn't remove them (the grindplates), he'd be arrested. The school allows skating for the purpose of transportation, but has banned what they call "recreational skating". Their definition of recreational skating is any skating which is not being done with a specific destination. Skating for fun and doing tricks are not allowed. Anybody in southern Ontario that enjoys inline, I have 24hr access to a great asphalt track, it is at my front door, the length is 3/4 mile. I live an hour and a half north of downtown Toronto, my house is located near Georgian Bay I have a great house with hot tub and sauna, it is a wonderful home to relax after a intense workout. In the area directly surrounding my house, there are not many roads or other paved paths that are very conducive to skating. I think it would great to have a place where people can make suggestions on where to go and places to avoid when skating in their area.
