The 3rd Annual CIRSA Inline Racing Clinic

A Weekend with Paul and Chad Hedrick

June 21-22, 1997

On June 21-22, Paul Hedrick will be conducting the 3rd annual Canadian Inline and Roller Skating Association inline speedskating clinic in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Paul is the father and coach of World Champion, Chad Hedrick, and also coaches women's World Champ Cherly Ezzell in addition to some other excellent athletes at Champions skating club in Texas.

Last year marked the first time Paul and Chad instructed the seminar in Toronto. Some of the top skaters in Canada attended, as well as a number of skaters from Detroit and Boston. The weekend proved to be an informative, fun, and physically challenging experience for all. Paul led the group through an abundance of technique drills, pack awareness exercises, and lots of skating. Although Paul's guidance and instruction was enlightening, much of the focus seemed to be on pursuing and emulating Chad.

This year's seminar is bound to be another great experience that should not be missed. The 2-day event will include both indoor and outdoor sessions, and lunch is included. Although the emphasis is on developing and honing technique and race-related skills, the weekend is also one designed to be fun and highly social. The cost of the clinic is $65 ($85 Cdn). (CIRSA members receive a 10% discount). Hotel, travel, and general information is only a phone call (or e-mail) away. Contact CIRSA or Barry Publow at (613)741-3755 (BarryPublow@EasyInternet.ca)
