2002 National Championship

Canadian Interuniversity Athletic Union

The fifth annual CIAU Women's Ice Hockey Championship was held at the University of Regina from February 28th through March 3, 2002. The top six university teams from across Canada competed for the national title.

There were two pools of three teams. Each pool played a round robin during the first three days of the tournament. The top two teams after the round robin competition played for the gold medal. The second place finishers played for third place, and the bottom two teams met in the fifth place game.

TV Coverage

WTSN will broadcast both games that take place on Saturday. TSN will broadcast the Gold Medal Game at 2:00 p.m. and RDS will broadcast it again in French at 10:30 p.m.

  4. University of Regina (CWUAA 2nd place)
