The San Jose Jr. Sharks Girls Hockey Club presents: 3rd. ANNUAL MLK INVITATIONAL Girls'/Women's Hockey Tournament Jan. 14, 15 & 16, 2006 San Jose, Calif. This year, we've added a Women's Senior "B" division of 4 to 6 teams. In the states, our highest division is Sr. "A", so I guess this would be somewhere around a Canadian Sr. "A" or "B". Sanctioned USA Hockey Tournament Five Girls' & One Women's Divisions 10U – 1995 & under 12U – 1993 & under 14U – 1991& under 17U – 1988 & under 19U – 1986 & under Women's Senior "B" (New) Format: Format depends on number of teams in division (4 games per team guaranteed). We are planning on 6 to 8 teams per division. Space is limited, so please apply early. Final games scheduled for Monday morning with last game ending by 1:00pm. Games: 3 - 15 minutes stop periods. Features include: 4 NHL size rinks Team Trophies for Champions Skills Competition & Awards Tournament Hotels – later Airports: SJC, OAK & SFO. 2005 MLK Tournament featured "AAA" teams from across the US and Canada: Alaska Icebreakers, Anaheim Lady Ducks, Arizona Selects, Cal Selects, Colorado Select, San Jose Jr. Sharks, Utah Grizzlies, and New Mexico Ice Breakers. Vancouver, BC teams included the North Shore Avalanche and Maple Ridge Barracudas. Entry fee, tournament application and a preliminary roster must be submitted to the Tournament Director no later than October 15, 2005. All teams must be USA Hockey or HC registered. The final team roster and team photo (5x7) to be submitted no later than Dec. 1, 2005.
