The Dave McMaster Memorial Hockey for Heart Tournament, presented by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, is going to begin in the evening on Friday May 14, 2010 and run through the entire day of Saturday May 15, 2010. It is being held at the William P. Wilder Arena & Sports Complex (Upper Canada College) in downtown Toronto. Men's, Women's and co-ed teams compete against similar composition and skill sets in a 3 game tournament in addition to raising funds for heart and stroke research. Top individual fundraisers can play against a team of 'ProStars', former professional hockey players. Must be 18 and over to participate. Funds raised through this pledge-based fundraising tournament will go directly to heart and stroke research - heart disease being the number one killer of women over the age of 55 in Canada. Registration fee is $750 per team of 14. Registration for the tournament in addition to more information can be found online at: www.hockeyforheart.com - 'Toronto' link.
