Hockey School Information

Canada is regarded as the leader in hockey development and one reason
for this is how we have allowed the higher skilled athletes to train
and play against each other. Many aspiring young hockey players have
used the off season to further improve their skills in order to make
the jump to the next level. Due to the struggle for prime time ice
during the hockey season many Girl's Programs have been slowed in skill
development. There is a demand for quality instruction in a competitive
level environment and the Capital Raiders Hockey School in conjunction
with the City of Nepean can provide this specialized service for our
young female athletes.

The Program

This unique full day program will provide the athletes with four hours
on-ice instruction daily and two hours of off-ice sport specific
training and topical seminars on Nutrition and Conditioning. The
program is designed to improve individual skill development through
progressive teaching of drills and game concepts.

The Camps will be divided into two groups and be offered the week of
August 23rd - 27th at the Walter Baker Center in Nepean.

 1) Peewee/Bantam - ( 88, 87, 86, 85, 84)
 2) Midget & up ( 83 and under)

The cost for this program is $250.00 for the one week camp. This
includes four hours on-ice and two hours off-ice daily. Each
participant will receive a Capital Raiders practice jersey and a week
end report card. Space is limited to 32 per group.

Goaltenders half day afternoon programs include two hours on-ice and
one and a half hours off- ice with Goaltender instruction. The cost for
Goaltenders is $125.00 for the week and space is limited to 6 per
group.

Our Staff - Chuck Wight, Head Coach of the National Capital  "AAA"
Raiders of the NWHL who is an Advanced I Level Coach with 12 years
experience instructing at Hockey Schools. Isabelle Aube, member of Team
Canada Under 22 and assistant Captain of "AAA" Raiders. Dana Avery
Captain of "AAA" Raiders with Intermediate Level Coaching
Certification.
