Betting on the National Women’s Hockey League
January 23, 2018

The history of women hockey leagues in the US is full of ups and downs. Many leagues have been formed and many have died. Many mergers have been concluded and many have collapsed. Despite all this, it seems the recent formation i.e. the National Women’s Hockey League is standing strong and our hope is that it will continue to defy odds and propel itself further.

As leagues were formed and as they collapsed, many local and international bookmakers and sportsbooks became too sceptical about embracing women hockey and offering betting markets for women hockey games. However, the National Women’s Hockey League’ success has gone a long way in restoring faith in the sport and in the league to an extent that many bookmakers and sportsbooks are now starting to embrace women hockey including NetBet Sport among others. However, it’s not all betting sites that are as they look, some are all after your money only. In order to avoid being duped, here are some of the things you need to check before betting on the National Women’s Hockey League.

Licensing
The first thing you need to check before placing your bet is to check if the bookmaker is licensed. This will indicate to you if a bookmaker is legitimate or not. Most online sites provide the licensing information at the bottom of their homepage. If you cannot find it, you can contact the bookmaker. It’s important to keep this in mind the bookmaker has to have a license from Kahnawake Mohawk Territory; if not then it has to have a foreign license.

Duration
The second thing to check is if the bookmaker has been operating for a long time. It’s advisable to go for bookmakers that have been in operation for no less than 5 years. However, you may find that some new bookmakers offer more bonuses than established ones; in this case, you have to be extremely careful when choosing the bookmaker.

Customer service options
Many people ignore this at first but when things go wrong they cry foul. Always check if all the customer service options are operational, as this will give you an indication that you are dealing with a reputable company.

Payment methods
Even if your desired payment method is provided, always check the other payment methods provided. There are some e-wallets that are restricted in North America if you find them listed on the bookmakers’ payment methods; this should be a red flag for you.
