Team Finland vs Team Ontario
February 2002

The Ontario Women's Hockey Association is pleased to announce details
of a two-game series between Team Finland and Team Ontario. Finland is
holding a training camp in Ontario, prior to departing for the Olympics
in Salt Lake City.

Team Ontario will feature players selected from the Beatrice Aeros,
Brampton Thunder, Mississauga Ice Bears, Ottawa Raiders and Telus
Lightning. All teams are at the OWHA Senior AAA level and play their
league games in the National Women's Hockey League.

The five teams are also in the midst of the highly competitive Ontario
Women's Hockey Association's Provincial Championship which will be
completed on February 24th.

This two-game series against Finland symbolizes the exceptional level
of both competition and co-operation. The sport of female hockey is a
true leader in the sporting world.

There is great intensity on the ice as all players and teams strive
for victory. In addition, there is great cooperation off the ice to
help increase the quality of the opposition thus setting higher goals
for all teams.

Team Finland has proven to be a very successful team in World Women's
competition. The Ontario Women's Hockey Association is the proven
leader in the development of women's hockey throughout  the world.

We encourage you to come out and experience  this entertaining hockey -
the Ontario Challenge!
