Women's Hockey in Iceland
Iceland does not currently compete internationally.
The following information is from Gudrun of Iceland. It was sent on Dec. 22, 2000.
Hi, my name is Gudrun and I come from Iceland. I live in a town called Akureyri and I just wanted to say that we have icehockeyteam her. We just started in march this year (2000) so we are pretty new at this, yet there has been very much progress. Our coach is Paul Strople, he comes from Canada.
Actually there are two teams here in Iceland, one in Reykjavik, the capital. We have competed couple of times, and in march next year we are going to Reykjavik to play against them.
