2000 Canadian Under 22 National Women's Hockey Team

Year's Overview

There was a selection camp in Montreal in August 1999 to select Canada's 1999-2000 Under 22 national team. After the selection camp, the team that was selected played a three-game series against the USA. Here are the results of these games:

  August 25, 1999: CAN 1 vs USA 2 (Lake Placid, NY)
  August 26, 1999: CAN 2 vs USA 0 (Lake Placid, NY)
  August 28, 1999: CAN 2 vs USA 1 (Lake Placid, NY)

In February 2000, the Under 22 national team went overseas to Fussen, Germany for the Four Nations' Tournament, where they took on Finland, Switzerland, and Germany. Canada won all four games in the tournament, placing first overall.

  February 10, 2000: Canada 14 vs Finland 1
  February 11, 2000: Canada  8 vs Switzerland 1
  February 12, 2000: Canada  3 vs Germany 0

They also played an exhibition game against Germany on February 13, 2000, which Canada won by a score of 10-3.

There was a training camp in Calgary in August 2000 to select Canada's 2000-2001 Under 22 national team. After the evaluation camp in August 2000, the team played a three-game series against the USA. Here are the results of these games:

  August 24, 2000: Canada 3 vs USA 1  (Calgary, AB)
  August 25, 2000: Canada 4 vs USA 1  (Calgary, AB)
  August 27, 2000: Canada 2 vs USA 5  (Medicine Hat, AB)
