1999 Canadian Under 22 National Women's Hockey Team

Year's Overview

Canada's Under 22 National team was first formed at the end of 1998. They participated in the Christmas Cup in Unna, Germany over the 1998 Christmas period, claiming the tournament championship.

During the summer of 1999, a selection camp was held to determine a new team. This team defeated the United States Select Under 22 Team in a best of three series in Lake Placid, NY.

  August 25, 1999: CAN 1 vs USA 2 (Lake Placid, NY)
  August 26, 1999: CAN 2 vs USA 0 (Lake Placid, NY)
  August 28, 1999: CAN 2 vs USA 1 (Lake Placid, NY)

This same team (with just a couple of roster changes) will competed at the Four Nations' Tournament in Fussen, Germany in February 2000. See the 2000 Under 22 page for more information.
