2002 Esso Canadian National Championship

Arnprior/Renfrew, Ontario, March 2002


The 2002 Esso Canadian National Championship was hosted by the communities of Arnprior and Renfrew, Ontario from March 6-10, 2002. This championship is for the highest level of women's hockey in Canada. Each Canadian province sends the provincial championship team or an all-star team to represent their province. The Beatrice Aeros (from Ontario) and an All-Star team from Quebec met in the gold medal final of the championship this year, with Quebec winning the game by a 1-0 margin. Kim St-Pierre was spectacular in goal.
