1997 Esso Canadian National Championship

Richmond, BC, March 6-9, 1997


The 1997 Canadian National Championship was held in Richmond, British Columbia from March 6-9, 1997. There were eight different provinces represented at this year's Esso Women's National Championship. Each province sends either an all-star team, or the team that wins the provincial championship for the highest level of women's hockey within that province. The Edmonton Chimos from Alberta are the 1997 National Champions!

For the 1997 Esso Women's National Championship the provinces were divided into two groups, with Quebec, British Columbia, B.C., and Manitoba in Pool A, and, Alberta, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, and Saskatchewan in Pool B. The standings after the round-robin play and the results of all games are shown below.
