1999 Australian National Women's Hockey Championship
(The Joan McKowen Trophy)

Just writing to let you know that the Australian Women's Ice Hockey Championships have come and gone. This year, the title was passed from NSW to Victoria. The places were as follows: 1st: Vic, 2nd: NSW, 3rd: SA, 4th: ACT, 5th: QLD, 6th: WA. The final was won by Vic 5/2 and although it may sound like an easy win, it was quite the contrary and NSW keep Victoria on their toes the whole game. The hockey this year is once again great margins above previous years and a strong way to lead Australian Women's Hockey into the next

Final Placings

  1. Victoria
  2. New South Wales
  3. South Australia
  4. Austin Capital Territory
  5. Queensland
  6. Western Australia
