1998 Australian National Women's Hockey Championship
(The Joan McKowen Trophy)

The 1998 Joan McKowen Trophy was recently contested in Perth, with all State teams participating. New South Wales once again triumphed, after a closely fought game against South Australia. The Final, 3 3 after sudden death over-time, was decided on a penalty shoot-out, which went to the last of the 10 designated shooters before a score was recorded. MVP of the tournament went to Emily Pemrick (Northeastern University, USA, Capt 97/98).
