1998 Ontario Provincial Championship

The 1998 Ontario Provincial Championship took place in Brampton from August 7-9 1998.

Women's A division:
Winner: Extreme (TWBHA)

Women's B division:
Winner: Devils (TWBHA)


1997 Ontario Provincial Championship

The 1997 Ontario Provincial Championship took place from August 8-10, 1997 in Brampton.

Women's A division:
Toronto Red Wings beat Toronto Roadrunners 2-1 to win the A division.
Tournament MVP - Jo Ann Cortese from the Red Wings

Women's B division:
Toronto Wayouts beat Vanier Tigresses 1-0 to win the B division.
Tournament MVP - Tracy Rodgers from the Wayouts.

By winning the provincial championship, the Toronto Red Wings qualified for the 1998 Canadian National Championship in Newfoundland. As they declined this invitation, the Roadrunners attended the Nationals in their place. The Roadrunners went on to win the gold medal at the 1998 Nationals.


1996 Ontario Provincial Championship

Here are the results of the 1996 Ontario Women's Ball Hockey Association (OWBHA) provincial championship:

'A' Division:  1. Red Wings (TWBHA)
               2. Roadrunners (TWBHA)

'B' Division:  1. Kings (TWBHA)

By winning the 'A' Division, the Toronto Red Wings earned themselves a birth into the National Championship in Montreal, Quebec. The Red Wings went on to win the gold medal at the 1996 National Championship.


1995 Ontario Provincial Championship

The Ontario Women's Ball Hockey Association (OWBHA) hosted the 1995 Women's Provincial Championships in Welland, Ontario. The Toronto Red Wings defeated the Ottawa Eagles in the Championship game.

By winning the 'A' Division, the Toronto Red Wings earned themselves a birth into the National Championship in Edmonton, Alberta.

For the second year the 'B' Division was participating in the Ontario Provincial Championships. The Stouffville Wolves defeated Ottawa in a close match by a score of 2-0. The Toronto Offsiders loast in the Semi-finals.
