YES 128 59% NO 89 41% Response Every morning, I am up by 5:30 a.m., and at a local gym by 6 a.m. Many people have told me that I'm crazy, but I'm not. I have a goal, a dream. And that is, to some day represent Canada at the Winter Olympics. If this were 10 years earlier, I would not have that dream, because women's hockey is merely debuting this coming Olympics. I consider myself extremely lucky to be the age I am at this time. Many women hockey players have never had the opportunities that I wish to experience, some never even had the chance to play in a league. But now we have the chance to play for our country, with the best in the world. And for us, it doesn't matter how lopsided the score is, we are just grateful we're there. The score will eventually even up, but it will take time. Cheryl Lanthier Newmarket Contents copyright © 1996, 1997, The Toronto Star.
