USA 13, Russia 0

Sandra Whyte scored three goals and Cammi Granato added two goals
and three assists, leading the U.S. women's national hockey team to
a 13-0 exhibition victory Wednesday night over Russia at the Olympic
Ice Arena.

The game was the final tuneup for both teams for the women's world
championship, which starts Monday in Kitchener, Ont. The United
States plays Norway in its first game.

The U.S. women also beat Russia 7-0 the previous night, peppering
goalie Irina Gashennikova with 56 shots, and it was more of the same
on Wednesday when the Americans finished with a 52-9 advantage.
