Team Canada Women 4 - Team USA Women 3

Hayley Wickenheiser and Nancy Drolet scored 39 seconds apart in the third
period to lead Canada to a 4-3 win Monday night over the United States in
the Three Nations Cup women's exhibition hockey tournament.

The win pushes Canada's record to 2-0. The U.S. drops to 0-1. Finland is
also 0-1. Finland and the U.S. meet tonight at Canton, N.Y.

Wickenheiser broke a 2-2 tie with 4:15 remaining in the third period
when she beat American goaltender Erin Whitten on a breakaway.  Drolet got
her second of the game just 39 seconds later, to help hold off the U.S.
Cammie Granato, sister of San Jose sniper Tony Granato, got her second of
the game after Canada's outburst, but the U.S. rally fell short.

``The spirits are high right now,'' said Canadian coach Shannon Miller.
``Tonight was a big win. This is only our second game together as a team.
I think they expected to walk out tonight and beat us. Because of that it
was a big win. It gives us a big boost.''

Karen Nystrom had the other goal for Canada. Stephanie O'Sullivan was
the only other American to beat goalie Manon Rheaume.
