Wedding Details

The wedding will take place outside, rain or shine, at the Hunter Farm. So dress comfortably and don't forget to bring a sun hat or an umbrella! After the ceremony there will be plenty of opportunity to wander the Hunter Farm and to enjoy the scenery. The reception will be held at the Steel Centre, located at Sir Sanford Fleming College in Peterborough. It is about a 15-minute drive to the reception site; see the map below for directions. At the Steele Centre, cocktail hour will be held at 6pm, dinner at 7pm, and the dance will follow.

We have blocked off rooms at three hotels in Peterborough. If you call one of these hotels to reserve a room, be sure to tell them that you are with the "Hunter-Dayaratne wedding party." This will ensure that you will get the discounted rates shown below. Hotels fill up quickly during the summer, so please phone ASAP.

Maps and Directions

Directions to Farm (Wedding):

The Hunter Farm is located east of the city of Peterborough on highway 134. From Toronto, take highway 401 to highway 115 (exit 436). Drive north on this divided highway and follow the signs for HIGHWAY 7 EAST towards OTTAWA. Do not exit the divided highway until you get to the traffic lights at highway 7 (just past the OPP station on your left). At this point turn right (east) onto highway 7 and drive for 8 km. Turn north onto highway 134 and go 3 km, across the railroad tracks, to the Bed & Breakfast sign and laneway on your left.

Directions to Steele Centre, Sir Sandford Fleming College (Reception):

From the Hunter Farm, take highway 134 south (right) to highway 7 west (right). Follow highway 7 to the second set of lights, and turn left onto the divided highway (follow the signs towards Toronto). Follow the divided highway and turn off at the Parkway Exit. Continue straight through the first set of lights (you will be on Sir Sandford Fleming Drive). Then turn right onto Brealey Drive. At the first stop sign, turn left into Sir Sandford Fleming College, and park in the first parking lot on the left.
