Plaque and write-up

Name the sport -- soccer, badminton, lacrosse, track, field hockey, softball, cross-country, arm-wrestling, volleyball, inline hockey, ball hockey, and ice hockey -- and you can bet that Andria excelled. But it is ice hockey that she dominated. Beginning in PMHA novice, her career took her through PGHA, United Counties, TASS, University of New Hampshire (UNH), University of Toronto, Switzerland, National Women's Hockey League, and Team Canada.

Andria scored 874 goals in 5 seasons with Otonabee in the early 1980s. In 1986, she earned a hockey scholarship to UNH, winning 2 ECAC championships. She won the rookie award, two scholar-athlete awards, and was inducted into the hall of fame. She then pursued a Master's degree at the University of Toronto, winning 4 OWIAA championships. She was a first team all-star all 5 years, and amassed 123 points in 55 career games. She played in Switzerland in 1992-93, leading league scoring with 87 points in 20 games. In 1992, she won gold with Team Canada at the World Championship in Tampere, Finland, placing third overall in scoring. In 1994, she again won gold with Team Canada in Lake Placid. She ended her career with the Mississauga Ice Bears in 2002, finishing 3rd in NWHL league scoring.

In 1997, Andria was named the Inline Hockey News Amateur Female Athlete of the Year. She won gold with Team Canada at the first-ever Women's Inline Hockey World Championship in 2002.
